Information and bookings
To make the booking process easier for you, crossings that are not suitable for passengers with reduced mobility are clearly identified on the online booking site as follows:

View the relevant timetables here:
Sein Island: unsuitable crossing times are mainly due to the tides.
Molène Island: the affected crossings mainly concern arrivals on the island via the Dr Tricard ferry, due to wave height or weather conditions.
When booking your crossing (at the station or directly on our website), please let us know that you are a passenger with reduced mobility, submit your request for assistance, or inform us of your requirements at your departure station at least 48 hours in advance so that we can review and confirm your booking.
Given the port facilities, boarding and disembarking may involve using stairs. The stairs are relatively steep, which may pose difficulties for people with reduced mobility. Boarding and disembarking via the stairs may be daunting for wheelchair users, as they will need to be carried up and down these stairs. Furthermore, to facilitate working conditions for the shipping company’s crew, we strongly advise you to book in advance and submit a request for assistance (at least 48 hours in advance) to ensure that the necessary arrangements are in place to avoid having to carry a wheelchair up the stairs.
The use of wheelchairs on the stairs is primarily reserved for medical evacuations or for islanders travelling to medical appointments on the mainland.
We recommend travelling on the Fromveur 2, which is equipped with a lift (available on request) and a call button to assist you with getting around on board during the crossing.
Departures are from Brest at 8.20 am or from Le Conquet at 9.45 am (8.10 am & 9.35 am in summer). Returns at 5.00 pm from Ouessant and 5.30 pm from Molène.
If you use an electric wheelchair, for safety reasons you will board using a standard wheelchair, and your electric wheelchair will be hoisted onto the ship (provided you are able to transfer from your electric wheelchair). If this is not the case, please contact your departure station to discuss access arrangements.
On the day of your departure, to make boarding easier, please arrive before boarding begins.
During your crossing, enjoy reserved seating and a video and audio system (available only on the Fromveur II, Enez Eussa III and Enez Sun III) providing practical and tourist information throughout your journey.
Transport of mobility-related equipment
Some mobility aids are not classified as standard wheelchairs and may require special transport arrangements.
- No extra charge: manual or electric wheelchair, walking frame
- Subject to a specific charge: Joëlette, electric mobility scooter, or any other bulky, non-standard equipment
It is essential that you inform us of any special equipment you require when making your booking, so that we can make the necessary arrangements and ensure you board the aircraft in the best possible conditions.
