THE PETREL
The Enez Houad, now renamed the Petrel, was launched from the Gléhen shipyard in Douarnenez in 2002. The vessel, which is 26 metres long and 6.65 metres wide, can carry 183 passengers.
The vessel was purchased as part of the new public service contract with the Brittany Region.
The Petrel mainly operates between April and October, serving the island of Ouessant from Camaret, replacing the decommissioned vessel André Colin. In summer, it mainly operates on the Camaret–Molène–Ouessant route.
This faster vessel, capable of reaching a speed of 20 knots, is crewed by five men and is better suited to the Company’s needs.
