Sein Island

An island just off the coast

The island of Sein is a unique place at the tip of Brittany. Located some 5 km from the Pointe du Raz, it stretches for around 2 km and winds its way like an inverted S, with a width varying between 30 and 500 metres. Like a lace doily floating on the water, its average elevation is 1.50 m. Its exceptional setting and majestic landscapes have earned it the honour of being listed among the ‘most beautiful villages in France’.

The island of SEIN offers a complete change of scenery with its brightly coloured houses, narrow streets and long stretches of pebble beach. This haven of peace is a specially protected natural area, …

“Just off the coast, the island of Sein is a preserved patch of land. A chance to find oneself amongst the fields of pebbles, to connect with nature on the windswept moorland, and to experience the warmth of the islanders, who interact with visitors in an unpretentious manner as they disembark at the quays lined with colourful houses.
A chance to discover a world untouched by the technology that surrounds us.”
