Landing on Molène in rough seas
In Brittany, the sea goes out every day, then comes back in six hours later. This is the phenomenon of the tides…
Depending on the tidal coefficients, they vary in magnitude; when they exceed 100, we refer to a spring tide.
Depending on the tidal conditions and the time of day, as well as the weather, the Company’s ‘large’ vessels on which you will have boarded from Brest or Le Conquet will not be able to dock at the pier in Molène.
So, before disembarking on the island, you’ll be transferred from the Fromveur 2 or Enez Eussa to the quay at Molène aboard the Docteur Tricard ferry.
It’s a rather epic and unique experience!
If this happens, we will let you know by text message before your travel date.
*This transfer is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
